I’m glad to see that common sense has come to SEO practices. Instead of the old tricks of repeating company names endlessly and jamming up sites with unnecessary links, search engines are now rewarding sites that offer clear, cogent language, easy-to-follow IA and plenty of videos. In fact, videos have become a search engine darling. This was confirmed for me recently, when I crafted branding, videos and the website strategy and copy for Healing Practices of Greenwich (healingpracticesofgreenwich.com). We developed a strategy that explained what was being offered, and also provided value to visitors through the use of guided meditations. We linked to a corresponding YouTube page that housed the videos. The result is that Healing Practices of Greenwich scores very well in search engine results, and offers visitors a rewarding site experience.
